Well this past week was nothing but interesting and full of amazing surprises! On Tuesday last week we got to stop by the Erskin's house for a surprise visit only to see that Jim and Mae were both back living at home again! The kids were all so excited to see us and it was such a good feeling to be around them. We had missed them SO much and they are such a light in our days its ridiculous. Little Jimmy, the red headed 8 yr old talked to me all about Nephi and a boat then we went through the pictures in the front of the Book of Mormon and told me who everyone was in the pictures! He is such a smart kid and he has totally won over my heart. Later that night we got invited to be apart of the Young Women's activity which was so awesome! Luckily I knew that I was leaving so I got to have them all sign this journal and say goodbye to everyone. I absolutely love those girls, they have all changed a lot since I was there in Liberty. Transfer calls came that night as we visited with Bri and Caleb, they told me I was going to open up Chillicothe Branch with Sister Barnum! Yep, I got double transferred in to an area out in the middle of no man's land! I got pretty nervous for knowing that I am here to help lay a strong foundation for missionaries in the future but I am very excited to be here.

Wednesday while we were on our last shift at the Liberty Jail, President Keyes came in with all the new missionaries. As soon as he saw me he said, "Sister Larson, you got your cowboy boots all ready to go!?" haha I truly got sent to the boondocks but the cool part is about it, I will be driving a truck for the rest of the time by next week! Yeeee hawww! One of the only areas that gets a truck and I am pretty sure I am despised by all the elders in the mission.
Wednesday night after Sister Crapo and I finished packing our stuff, we had a little house party with all of us sisters in the kitchen. Sister Park had this CD Popcorn Boppin which is the greatest cd I have heard on my mission haha, so of course we put that on and just danced for like 20 minutes...my kind of going away party :) Thursday morning was transfers and I got to see Sister Fie'eiki again since she drove in with Sister Barnum from Kansas which was so awesome! I love that girl. Well, with Sister Barnum's stuff in the car and my big suitcases trying to cram into a little corolla...it was going to be impossible. President Keyes tried to helping us but got a little worried, it was pretty funny he told Sister Barnum that she needs to pack lighter...poor Sister Barnum thought we were going to have a truck right away so she brought a bunch of stuff with here from Junction City! Luckily a senior couple, the Wells, followed us up to Chillicothe with their truck and we made it to our members house out here just fine. The members we live with are so cute too, they are always home when we come in and ask us how our day went and how the lessons went...its like we live with our parents. They are the sweetest couple, I love them already!
Friday was awesome. We were trying to figure out our area, going through our book when we get a call from the Leonard's in our ward asking us if we had free time to come into town to meet the people who have come to church! Of course we said yes, why wouldn't we! It was so awesome, they talk like a mile a minute and drove us around town meeting people! We met two couples who are investigating the church and they are actually good friends too which is a fun dynamic. Later that night we met our branch president and his family. We made quite an impression on our first visit as I told their oldest son that it's okay if he just goes to school cause he can figure out what he wants to do later, then President Colemen says...um parents don't want their kids to hear that...haha...um..oops! Then that same son was talking about how he has a girlfriend he could bring to church and my comp says, oo is she going to wait for you after your mission...to which the mom looks at her like, don't ask him that! Haha. It was an interesting and funny night.
Sunday we walked into our tiny little church only to see it filled with folding chairs and no church pus. The building is so little and the branch itself has about 60 to 90 people attending on average. Everyone kept saying how they need missionaries so they can expand the building! Its cool to have so many members excited to have missionaries. The couples that we met on Friday and taught again on Saturday came to church with their little kids which was so awesome to see them their. We got to visit with them again later that day and one couple, Carissa and Justin, are the sweetest! We walked away from their house knowing that we are here for them :) So far, things are going great and I love it out here!
I love you all so much and appreciate all you do! Much love!!
Love
Sistaaa Larson
