Life of Sister Larson

Hello Everyone!
This week has been a totally off week but also a really good week at that :)
Last week on Tuesday, we got to go to Mutual for the youth and help out the young women with this cooking activity they had. It is so much fun being around all the young women, they are soo fun and plus they think I'm cool so I love being around them ha ;-) I really see how much the youth really are the generations to focus on because they have so much drive inside and become amazing people through such short amount of time. It is amazing hearing how strong they are and their testimonies are incredible. I was sitting with the Sinclairs on shift, lookin at the newfamilyserach.org website and I realized that I have zero family history on there. That was fun! Haha but it really makes me excited to work on my genealogy while I am out here on the slow shifts. There really are some fun adventures with genealogy work, I love hearing stories or learning about my ancestors...even if I don't really know it right now :)
Thursday we had our early morning training from the sister leaders and then the visitor center directors, the Adams. It was a fun beginning but at the end we all just felt rebuked for not doing referrals. We all kind of took it hard and it really affected me and sister Whittier. It is kind of funny to look back and see that we just laughed and really didn't want to go to work but we did it anyways! We went out walking around and we stopped at this place called crepes on the square where the cashier bought our hot chocolates for us! I think he had sympathy on us and could tell we were having a rough cold day haha. But alter we stopped at George's house and taught him about the plan of salvation and it was the funnest lesson because he knew so much about it! He and his mom Sariah are so cool and just lift our spirits EVERY time we are in their home. I really love them both so much and I am SOOO excited for his baptism this Saturday morning!! :)
Sunday, Sister Whittier played the guitar melody for "Nearer my God to Thee" while I sang "Guide me to Thee". It was a pretty fun experience and people afterwards really boosted our self esteem, calling us angels and asking for us to record it! Haha. Gotta love that :) Later that day, we had a group come in from Utah and a lady in the group was Becky Smith who writes up the LDS Tour Guide books. She is so cool and took down our numbers for our parents to call them and give them a little note from us haha. It was fun and really cool. Later we had the Pres Devotional at the Liberty Jail and he reminded us about how we are all lighthouses for others who don't know their way. I really LOVED that idea and saw how true that really is for us. We cannot light out candle and hide it under a bushel. We must let it shine for all to see :)
I love you all so much and am so grateful for all the prayers and letters!!!
Love
Sista Larson
